Robin grew up and attended school in Arkansas\, while David’s family relocated to Florida during his childhood. When asked to reflect on the most significant social issue at the time they graduated from high school\, Robin immediately recalled the ongoing fight for integration in public schools. David offered a strikingly similar response\, remembering how racism continued to divide America. \nWhat makes their reflections especially compelling is that they graduated from high school nearly a decade apart\, yet both identified race and racial inequality as defining issues of their time.
